cloning 101-contain your excitement.....

hey everyone...as promised,
a quick cloning video using picmonkey
*
a. i tried to embed the video on this page with blogger and it failed. so instead, i uploaded it to my youtube account and i think it will show up below {oh technology is great when it works} but, if all else fails, try going here.

b. this is my first screen recording...bear with me.

c. don't laugh

d. this has nothing to do with my video and everything to do with one of the little things keeping me sane this winter...my daughter, the girls she nannies for and their little friend.

e. thanks for asking me to share my cloning technique with you. it's good to feel needed. here's to a beautiful and happy weekend no matter what you do, where you are or who you spend it with.

  1. I will definitely check this out because I tried to do some cloning this week in PicMonkey and it's not that easy. Takes patience and practice.

  4. I already know how to clone, but you could teach me how do a video like this! :-) Great job!

  5. Thanks, Beth! When I went to clone, it said I had to upgrade. Ugh. I probably will but didn't have time to play the other day so will have to soon.

Am eager to look at the video when I get home. I don't know much about the brushes so I know it will help! Thanks!

  7. Wow, thanks for that, Beth. I try to close out most of my open applications when I go into Picmonkey because my Mac is really old (5 or 6 years) and slow. I never thought to try the clone button, I'm not even sure if it is part of the free package. But now you have shown me something I didn't know existed, so thank you!

  8. P.S. Next video let's see you face, at least at the beginning or end for a few frames! You are beautiful!

  9. Excellent tutorial, Beth. It's pretty much the same way that you do it in PS. I've never used Picmonkey. Nicely done.

  10. So, it only took you 1 minute and 42 seconds to say "I'm on a MAC". You MAC people, lol.
Seriously, thanks for that little lesson Beth, very informative, I'll give it a try.

  11. This is very similar to PS! I'm surprised you didn't show the cloning technique in LR, but it is a little clunky to use now that I think about it. Enjoyed your video. You have a very pleasing voice and made it really simple. Have a great day.

  14. So nice to hear your voice! After all this time!

Is it really bad that I have never heard of picmonkey? Has my head been under a boulder?
Is there something in it that isn't in photoshop?
I'm just as in the dark when it comes to lightroom (yikes, that was a bit of an unintentional pun)... what is different from ps?

  15. You have a lovely speaking voice and I'm afraid I am hopelessly inept when it comes to learning this type of thing.

**I love reading the comments you leave, as they make me feel like we're sitting in my kitchen, having a cup of tea, discussing life and wondering where all the time has gone ...beth
