mostly white, right ?

here's another page in my art journal
and
I must say
this "white" page is my favorite
~~~~~
I love color
I really do
but
when it comes to working with
colors
as in
paint
YIKES
it can scare the crap out of me
and
I have no idea why
~~~~~
so
working with "whites"
felt safe and calming to me today
and
maybe I just needed some of that right now
~~~~~
damn
I know what you're saying
okay fine
so
there's some black in there, too
but
black is also one of my favorites
actually
it's
my all time favorite
  2. Your work in white is like the frothy foam on top of a Venetian latte, stirred just so to form a heart. It makes me purr with contentment. Well done, Beth.
  7. I have the opposite feeling from you about white -- I love colors, and when I'm forced into white, I feel like I'm making art with my 'library voice' ... boisterous little wench that I am. This page is good, Beth, quit kvetching, the black adds dimension and balance.
  9. This is my favorite, too -- although I'm very partial to the blue. I think for those of us who love color, white can be a splendid place to be. Peaceful, calm, elegant, luminous, magical. Yes, this is my favorite so far!
