I want to create and breathe the air in my studio...

my mind is not being very cooperative~
it's in a creative funk
somebody throw me a life line
and pull me out...
I don't like feeling this way.
Is it the weather?
spring is here, somewhere
it's hiding again today behind the clouds.
I need to feel the sun
on my face
which acts likes a battery
to rev up the rest of my body.
So instead of creating
I'm reading a great book
and drinking tea.
Which really isn't anything to complain about is it ?

  1. The reading and the lounging and the sipping of good beverages will all be the restorative your muse needs to get back in your hair, whispering in your ear and clamoring with ideas! Enjoy the quiet while it lasts (ha!).

  2. Reading a great book and drinking tea is certainly something I'd love to be doing today! There is something very soothing about that, and quite often, it helps recharge the batteries. I know what you mean about being in a funk. I'm not right now, but have been and no doubt will be again. It feels like our lovely spring disappeared (interesting how one day is "spring is here!" just because the sun is out!

Enjoy. The real world will settle in sooner or later (probably the day your muse returns!)

  3. sometimes we have to sit back, take things in, and trust that soon it will be our turn to spill out creation.
I say that as if it is easy. :)
Like you, all will be better for me when the sun comes to stay.

  4. I'm thining you have just moved out of your head and into the art of movement. Kinda like switching from one addiction for another. Currently it is body work. Enjoy the ride!

  5. Stumbled upon your great blog.

I know, creativity can be both friend and nemesis, sometimes it can be so exhausting to find what it is you want to say.

**I love reading the comments you leave, as they make me feel like we're sitting in my kitchen, having a cup of tea, discussing life and wondering where all the time has gone ...beth
