at a loss for words...

but
feel free to add some for me
~
i know most of you are witty enough to add captions to at least one of these photos

a few weeks ago i was at the zoo and throughout the area of the park i was in, you could hear this low
moaning noise. it was similar to the sound that bears make, so i didn't really pay much attention to it.
after all, i was at the zoo.
but all of a sudden, people started gathering around the tortoises. of course, with me being the curious thing i am, i had to walk over and see what was happening.
this is what was happening.
~
i'm guessing by spring we'll have baby tortoises. just a guess.

thank you everyone, for the amazing well wishes and prayers and good thoughts and happy ju ju you sent my way. it worked. i'm actually feeling pretty darn good.
to say you're all the best is an understatement. you're more then the best
and
i can't thank you enough for "being there" for me

  2. I am incredibly un-witty when it comes to caption creating! and I might just have to add that your affinity for posting pictures of mating zoo animals (yes, I remember the lions) might be somewhat disturbing if I didn't know that I would be doing the same thing if I had a blog :)

  3. No captions, but instead a real big hug and an apology for missing the post about a surgery. Oh! Now I am sending triple the prayers, beth. Feel better. Be good to yourself. ...and no matter how hot I am, I always have to have a sheet on, too. No boogie men can get me when I have my sheet on. I guess it's like our Superman cape, huh? Thinking of you. Hugs, kath

"I GOT DIBS ON TOP BUNK!"

  5. Well I had to go and catch up and here you are just a few days later! I hope your discomfort is minimal and the need for pain meds is too and hence as little vomit as possible :)

I am counting on one of your amazing blog peeps to provide the caption and give us all the laughs!

  21. lol! my mom had/has a yard full of turtles or tortoises or whatever or both and they are sexy thangs! :) her yard man once mowed a big circle around a "romancing" couple, not wanting to disturb their interlude. and of course, my niece, at age 4 or so, stumbled upon a couple also so involved. the best part was when they were finished & the male would fall backwards, laying there on his back for quite a while. any human females witness to his exhaustion would just laugh & laugh. men? not so much. they would laugh, but always help him over.

    SO glad you are better!!!
    xoxo

  22. So glad you're doing ok after your surgery. I'd been thinking about you. I remember seeing torquoises doing their thing when I was on an excursion in the Seychelles. Made for some interesting viewing and the noise they make is really strange.
