we have hail in our freezer from the storm last night...

did you know
i can be dramatic
but
in a way that will make you laugh
~
did you know
i forgive easily
but
probably won't ever forget what you did or said
~
did you know
i consider myself ordinary
but
will use big words sometimes when i talk
just to throw you off a bit
~
did you know
i easily forget if i locked the door behind me
but
will remember the phone number
to the plumber
i called once
three months ago
along
with his name
license number
where his children go to school
and
the last book he read when he was having a slow day
*
because
the black and white photos
i've been taking recently
have settled comfortably into my heart
i decided to let them stretch out a bit
and
gave them
~

  1. omg, hail!?!? Crazy. It hit 90 here yesterday then stormed like a dickens last night. Much cooler today but I'm headed out to AF, so it can do whatever it wants for the next 6 days.

  2. It seems that texture is more vivid with b&w. Friendly looking swing!
I caught the b&w bug from you. I was tickled when I discovered that setting on my Nikon. Good deal that my fellow bloggers have inspired me to investigate my camera and environs. I'm a happy camper with my finds!

  9. We have a tire swing.... Rowdy pulls on the rope and makes it swing. The dog would probably jump in and take a swing if he could.

  11. What the hail? Yea, this weather has been noticeably disconcerting. (See, I threw in a big word for you.) Now I'll even go more out on a limb to tell you that after teaching today, I took a nap and dreamed that I was holding Helen Keller's hand...when she was 2 1/2 years old. And in my dream I knew this was amazing and knew that she was once a famous older woman...but didn't GET that this couldn't be real somehow...I need someone to explain this to me!!! Can you, beth?!
