and
you know that you should be stronger
and
standing on your own two feet without toppling over
but
it's hard
and
you get all turned around
heading in a direction you think is right
only to get turned around
again
but
you're determined
and
brave
and
beautiful
and
you know the wings you've been blessed with
will take you where you dream to be
and
then suddenly just like that
everything feels right
and
your head is lifted high
and
finally
you're exactly where you were meant to be in the first place

I just love your words AGAIN. And loving the photos more because I used to wonder where you got these and now I know of the magical land called Beth's Cottage which is inhabited by a modern day magical princess who knows how to make everything right. Uggghh is it right for bikers to speak of princesses? Ok shhhh I won't tell if you won't. And remember when the little guy made it to the feeder & didn't know what to do? Hee hee the family here must hear that story 1000x
ReplyDeletethat flicker is adorable...the top picture reminds me of when my boys were toddlers and they would get unbalanced and land on their giant diaper bottoms...
ReplyDeleteWords of wisdom. Lucky girl to have a cottage to retreat to, especially when life spins you around.
ReplyDeletebeth ..i will be thinking of you this weekend ..i see such symbolism in this baby bird.. hugs to you friend
ReplyDeleteDarn those beautiful birds! Peck away all you want so we can shoot you (in the good way!):-)
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking bird photos... and the turtles! I wouldn't want to ever return home... enjoy your time!
ReplyDeleteYes, the baby flicker is adorable. Such great pictures of her. We have birds with the same zebra looking color on the the backs but not as much red on the head and neck. I wonder if they are the same? How exciting for you to watch this lovely bird growing and learning.
ReplyDeleteOh, wonderful, your bird shots get me every time. And yes, keep those wings open, you will soar...
ReplyDeleteAnd still, sending you hugs.
You have an amazing ability to capture and combine beautiful images with just the right words. That's such a gift. Thank you for this.

I don't think I have seen a baby flicker, but we do have flicker's visit us. One likes to tap on the metal chimney cap next door. They can certainly peck holes in the house too. But they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures.... It's a theme, I posted a cardinal today... but not nearly as nice as yours.
ReplyDeletebesos!!!!
I do love your images and words...thank you so much for sharing this adorable baby with us!
