when my older sister visits, it's easy to spend time with everyone at my little sister's house.
it's the kind of house that's rarely quiet and never boring. where not everyone has to do what everyone else is doing. where laughter is heard almost constantly.
and where sitting and doing nothing or everything comes naturally.
mom cross stitching and my older sister knitting
the real "down dog" position
cats, dogs and chickens aren't enough.
a real house also has to have a monkey.
an old photo of us...i'm on the left with the furry trimmed hood.

how lucky my sister is to have fruit trees in her backyard.
and in case you were wondering, apple trees make the best climbing trees.

happy weekend everyone

Hermosas imágenes, la del gato y los perros son mis favoritas! Feliz fin de semana!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh.... I remember climbing doorways when I was a kid too.... used to make our parents a bit crazy. Guess in many ways kids of this decade are a lot like kids of the 1960's. LOL
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed this post!
Great space for family time. Some really lovely shots her too, Beautiful One.
ReplyDeleteBig love and hugs to you and little Sophie too !

ReplyDeleteLove the one of your mom and sister sitting...I can feel the relaxed atmosphere from here.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pics, Beth. I love Shadow.. who looks exactly like my Skittles. The different coloured fingernails are too cute and the (same?) hands cupping the eggs is a delight. Beautiful series. Best thoughts for Sophie.
ReplyDeleteI used to sit in trees and read books. Definitely couldn't do that now; I fall asleep too easily. Lovely photos, by the way. Fingers crossed for Sophie.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are wonderful. I'll say a prayer for your little Sophie. xo

ReplyDeleteYes, apple trees are the best for climbing, but so is a door jamb sometimes. How lovely to have laughter surrounding you.

ReplyDeleteThe toothy doggy grin had me laughing outloud! Looks like you're thoroughly enjoying yourself. I would give anything to have my two sisters and Mom with me for an extended, free period -- just the four of us. Thanks for sharing your good time with the rest of us!
