WAIT
i know it sounds fishy, but keep reading.
~
last month i entered my name in a drawing at my dear friend kate's blog, hesitantly.
why. because it had to do with making a wish and someone named the fairy hobmother.
i was a bit skeptical to say the least.
but she had won. and we all love kate. so i entered the drawing.
and
I WON
~
and
now here's your chance to win a $50 amazon gift coupon, too.
~
just leave a comment below
telling me what it is that you wish for and the fairy hobmother takes it from there.

  1. isn't that hobmother something else? i love it when she dispenses gifts all over Blogland!

i'm toying with investing in a trail cam to mount along our pond pathway to catch some varmints in the night. OR i'm toying with the idea of adding a dedicated macro lens to my arsenal. SO, either way, a gift card might push me in that direction... :)

  2. What I wish for, hmm lets see, my wishlist is so long, but I will pick just one thing it would be a hoodman loupe! Yep thats it or maybe a Neutral Density filter, yep that's it!

  3. Ooooh I'm always on Amazon buying something or other, in fact I just ordered myself a new electric kettle. Hhhhmmm it would probably be spent on books or something camera related though. :0)

  4. Fairy Hobmother eh? Hmmm... Well heck, I believe in fairies... so why not... count me in! When anyone asks me what I wish for, I always answer...

Peace. All over the earth, a greater understanding among men so that we can stop all this stupidity and live in harmony.

Truly, that's my wish. The only real one I have.

If that's not possible... the back up is always more art supplies.

  5. Well if for no other reason than I love the name "the fairy hobmother" I'm willing to participate. All I wish for right now is that my son be happy at college and find his way to fitting in and being comfortable and settled as he starts out on his newest adventure in life.

  9. I have started a Wish List on Amazon that includes books, of course, and I would like to add another lens to my camera bag!

Congrats on winning! The Fairy Hobmother is quite a generous person!

  10. I'm wondering what a Hobmother is anyway? What does the "hob" stand for? It does sound suspicious but then, you won didn't you? Who delivered the certificate anyway? Your friend or the Hob mother thing? Or Amazon? It makes you wonder with all the strange things that happen in cyberspace.

  11. so happy you get to have fun with 50 bucks!

i've been eyeing a camisole for 46.00 on amazon, and have not been willing to spend so much so that is my wish :)

  12. Fairy Hobmother...For this reason alone it's worth trying even if I have yet to win anything ;-)

  13. ... well, as luck would have it, I dumped my chemo bag in the infusion center yesterday by accident. Today I discovered my beautiful gratitude journal... missing. So my wish is either for my journal to show up... or I may have to invest in a new one... sigh :)

  14. Amazon loves me. My wishlist is currently stocked full of lenses, books, and music. $50 towards any of those would be wonderful!

  15. never heard of hobmother. never trust anything! googled her (of course). soooo much came up! still don't quite understand. will throw caution to the wind because I trust you. i wish for the amazon certificate because it would help me purchase books for my kids from their Christmas wish list. Is it cheating to want to spend it on my kids instead of myself? Trust me. If I were spending it on books for myself, it would be gone in a flash as well!!!!

on second thought, after reading Vicky's comment, my wish is for her to win. If I get chosen, pass it on to Vicky for a new gratitude journal.

  17. I wish for the rain to go away from Maine and head over to Texas to put out the wildfires.
But $50.00 from Amazon would not be a kick in the teeth, Fairy Hob Mother !
Happy Wednesday, Beth ! You are always a winner in my book ! ;-)

  23. I am so glad the fairy hobmother is granting your wish!

I would truly wish for world peace and if that is asking for too much I would be happy with some music or books:)

  26. Hmmm...can Amazon give my baby niece a healthy and happy outcome to her medical tests? I keep wishing and wishing.

Well, if that is impossible, my second wish would be for books and more books. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. My first wish is always world peace. Then I often get selfish, but I'll stick with world peace today if I just get one wish.

  28. Congrats Beth! Isn't that Hobmother generous!! I already won and spent my $50 bucks on camera lens! Glad to see she's still tripping along blogland!

  29. Hmm, the real life wish list starts with the fervent hope that my three sons do well in school and turn out to be good people. The Amazon wish list has a slew of baking-related cookbooks and a Rocky & Bullwinkle DVD. I'd be blissful to get any of the above.

  30. I wish for the Torchwood series in DVD.

  31. World Peace! AND I MEAN IT!!!

  34. I wish for some new music.... for ME! (I've been spending all my money on my 4 year old...)

  35. The Fairy Hobmother is real?!

I'd put the $50 toward a zoom lens. I want to photograph the harvest moon.

  36. Maybe the hobmother is just what I need.
My chiefs license, a Coast Guard certificate is something I need to renew every 5 years. Without going into the boring details, the coast guard is thinking of not renewing my license this year ( because of this color blind thing I got going on )I should know any day now if I will be seeking employment at Walmart or not, after 39 years on the boats. Anyway, fairy Hobmother, give me the answer I'm hoping for, a renewed license.

  37. Not sure the fairy hobmother can help me out with this, but I wish with all my heart that my cousin, whom I fear is schizophrenic (or at best, bi-polar) could find her spot in the real world and be just fine...

    ReplyDelete
  38. Books, tools to encourage my fiber addictions?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Books, music, books, music....hmmm, I guess $50 is enough for a little of both :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. my wish? hmm... to have a magic wand that can help me get through perimenopause. not just any wand, this wand has to be able to do tricks like, turn the fan on quickly, make my family disappear during hot flashes...
or a new french coffee press would do. heh!
    ; )
    so glad you won!!

  41. Right now I am wishing for more time, an end to this crazy weather, and some chocolate.
But some new books would be nice, too, or another pair of Jumba shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I can do this! A bigger zoom lens for my camera is what I would like. But that is more than a fairy hobmother can manage, I think. xo Jenny

  43. What do I wish for? gosh. I'd really love to provide a new, comfy dog bed for my fur gal...she's showing her age a little and has taken to resting her head on softer things...

  45. I believe.
Most of mine are non tangible. But materially...I wish for perle cotton number ...heck...any size will do.

I'll take it a step farther. If Ms. Hobmother comes through, I'll play it forward.

    Have a wonderful day

  46. Fairy Hobmother,

I wish for a Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph pen set so I can make really fine lines when I do my pen and ink sketches.

Here's hoping I win! Thanks so much for this chance,

    xoxo

  48. This is fun. I am wishing for two large pots to plant flowers in and put in the front of the house in spring.

  49. I wish for a secret hide away next to water where I can go to dream and sip a cup of tea.

  50. I am so glad the Fairy Hobmother picked you!! It might be too late, but I'll leave my wish anyway. I had wished for a 50mm lens but gave up and bought it myself :) If I won, I'd put it toward a filter or tripod, or oh! I just remembered - I'd buy a new pair of Chaco sandals - my ones from last year are worn out and hurting my feet!! lol (I bought the lens instead of a new pair!)
