because of char....

today
~
i want to share with you the note that char's sister sent me. there are still so many people wondering what happened and i think jean-marie would want all of you to see this.
~
it was all so sudden...She has had some historical problems with blood pressure and her heart, but simply went into the ER with an infection. While there, her heart stopped several times, but they were unable to bring her back after the third time. After a week, I am able to see God's mercy in this...She worked with our states Medicade Agency and had also worked with nursing homes, so her worst nightmare would have been to suffer at length with someone having to take care of her. I have peace knowing she is at peace...Blessing to you and yours.

  6. My heart is just hurting right now. Hurting. But, somehow, encouraged too. Because through this wonderful art form we all share, blogging, she touched so many lives. Aren't we blessed.

  7. Thank you for sharing this. While it doesn't make the loss any less real, it helps to know that she didn't have to suffer. Even now, after she's gone, she's still teaching us to enjoy and embrace what we have when we have it. I'll always be grateful to her for that.

  10. Thank you for sharing this Beth. I've always believed that when it is our time, God steps in and brings us home. As Char's sister said, she would not have wanted to be "taken care of" and I believe that -- this was the way that would have made Char happy. Missing her and sending her family love and prayers.

  30. I think that it can be good and merciful when one is so sick, to go quickly and not suffer long...but for those still here, missing, it is the hardest. Peace to Char. Peace to her family and friends...like you, Beth. More hugs, Kathy

  37. oh Beth, what a wonderful peaceful picture to honor the memory of someone. There is some freedom in death but that doesn't take away the grief of those left behind; but it can make the soul a little more restful in its grief.

  47. I just now found out on another blog. Simply knocked the wind out of me. I'm sitting within a few feet of two of her enlarged framed photographs. Oddly enough, this room is a room I've put my favorite possessions in and I've been slowly taking out things that aren't near and dear to my heart. Those two will never be far from me. I will miss her so.

  49. thank you for sharing this.
I am still stunned by it all.
I feel so terribly sad for all who knew and loved her , and grateful that her incredible soul touched mine even in the short time we connected. Her life will remain in the hearts of many.

yesterday my daughter shared on the singer/songs from the show The Voice, and I thought of her. thought that she would probably add it to her list. thought that now it will be the song I think of when I think of her.
