waiting....

waiting
for
 my energy to come back
tank tops and flip flops to be worn on this beaten down by winter body
something grilled for dinner every night especially salmon
something exciting in my life to happen
a new house
sophie to stop throwing her full water dish around
at least one night a week where i sleep like a log
my migraines to get under control
the heat to stop kicking on
my overly plucked eyebrows to grow back in
my legs to magically look tanned
next weeks "the voice" since i totally fell in love with the episode that aired tuesday night
all the stuff in the basement for our garage sale to magically price itself
just a smidgen of inspiration to make me feel alive
~
what are you waiting for

  2. I'm waiting for the days when I HAVE to shave my legs because someone other than me will be seeing them. A new city, maybe a new country. The feeling of being exactly where I have to be to come back and visit every now and then. Magic. Waves of joy. Oh, I could go on and on. I do sound a wee bit ungrateful but really I am not.

  4. It's funny, pretty much everything you wrote could be on my list too. Suffering with migraines like crazy at the moment because of all the bad storms we keep getting.

  5. Hey Beth, it has really been a long winter, hasn't it? I'm just still waiting for it to end ... since our forecast for this weekend is 40 and snow, I guess there is more waiting and maybe waiting to figure out what we're doing back in Colorado!

  6. I am waiting for spring to come..it snowed here yesterday...waiting to no longer need the heat on...waiting to feel better...waiting for a lot but choosing to be content in the meantime.

  7. What a perfect photo to illustrate your words - the nest waiting for the beginning of new life. Winter can really beat us down. I don't know if my mental health could survive living anywhere other than the south where Spring comes early and Autumn stays late.
I'm waiting for a beach vacation - reading, napping, soaking up the sun, walking on the beach, eating fresh and simple food, watching the sun set. It's a shame my husband doesn't care for the beach.

  8. Hmmm...the sun and color outside other than green so I can go to town with my camera and zen eyes. Nice nest photo! I am a bird nut and have a very similar shot of a nest I took in the fall after the birds flew the coop! That is quite a list. I hope all come sooner than later! Hugs

  13. let's see... could use some magical muscle toning (that's the kind sans exercise, you understand), my winter clothes to put themselves away and the summer clothes whisked effortlessly into my closet (and while we're at it, how about a new summer wardrobe?), yes to the energy boost, and also the new house, preferably a cottage with terra-cotta walls and turquoise shutters on the beach with a sunflower path leading down to the water...

i hope your migraines go away soon...

  14. I agree with the enthusiam about anything. I am grateful for the hot weather we are having here in the south. It is never too hot for me.

  15. I'm waiting for more energy and the at least 35 hour day...and a few things of your list would come in handy, too ;-)
    Love your photo!

  16. If it's OK will you, I'll be taking the list you wrote, with exceptions for Sophie's water bowl(no pet)and a new house (would not want to move). The rain will eventually stop, and the weather will soon get warmer right? ;-)

  17. I am waiting for tomorrow and the promise of sun and warmth. I am waiting for the time that I can capture the few steps my son is taking on his own but they are so unpredictable and they never come when I have the camera in hand.

  18. Ahhh, I feel as though I am not waiting anymore, for anything. I can't afford to, and that is just odd for me, usually I'd be right there with you, but I have such an urgency to me, I can't wait for a thing anymore :)

  19. I'm waiting (not very patiently) for my Frankenmouth to heal. Also, we've just decided to take a trip to Mt. Rushmore in a couple weeks. Looking forward to seeing new things.

    Lovely photo.

  23. I'm STILL waiting for my significent other to hit the snoose button and make that infurnel noise STOP! He slept in the living room last night so I wouldn't know how late he'd stayed up playing that damn World of War Craft game. The fact that he can't be roused by the alarme tells me a lot!

  24. We are heading into winter downunder in Australia. So I am waiting for warm puddings, snuggly jumpers, soups, and day trips to the snow as it doesn't snow where I live we have to drive to the mountains. Charmaine

  25. Trying not to be waiting in too many areas and do more Being. Everytime I try and make a decision or take a step forward somewhere, I get this big message "Hold on. You are in a holding pattern. Wait it out." Sometimes it is just a feeling and other times a physical thing, like a car crash. ;)So I am trying to listen...
In the mean time, the birds are singing up a storm, the magnolias are starting to blossom and my first 4 daffodil appeared this morning. Life ain't that bad !
Hope the flow goes where you need it to really soon, Lovely One 1
    Big Hugs !

  28. Oh Beth, I hear you! Except it's my back that causes my pain these days... My winter blues are taken care of with frequent outings with my two dogs and my face turned up grabbing any sun ray I can find. Being in Va. has blessed us here with Spring already, "bright and green." Though I am currently waiting to hear on the health & welfare of some friends who were effected by a tornado last night. So right now, I am feeling pretty blessed to be honest.
But to tell you the God's honest truth?
I am personally waiting to fall in Love(still), and for World Peace.
    Not necessarily in that order:)
Feel better soon Beth, I love your Blog,
    love it, love it.

  30. I'm waiting for the motivation to lose the extra weight I gained this winter...ugh!

...I could use some much needed energy too:)

  31. I'm waiting to win the lottery so my life can assume some resemblance to what it did when I was gainfully employed. I haven't been on a cruise ship in a year...woe is me...but, I haven't adjusted well since I normally sail four times a year, at the very least, two of those journeys are out of the country!!

  32. SO many things on this list i can relate too.
    i love this image~

  33. to be honest, i don't think i'm really waiting for anything at the moment. the weather here is perfect, so i would actually like it to last for awhile before the real heat sets in. and i just got my hair cut last week, so it's looking pretty good at the moment so i don't want that to grow either. ;-)

  35. Lovely lovely photo and great find.
What am I waiting for... hmm. not sure if its my nose to finish healing or to start cutting my grass.
Its getting green up here in Canada again and the sun is getting warmer.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  39. That is a beautiful nest.
I'm so sorry you get such nasty migraines. I can't imagine what that must feel like...but I did experience my very first migraine aura a month or so ago...a ring of sparkly colourful stars invaded my vision..it was a beautiful show, but scared the crap out of me..kept waiting for the migraine that never happened. Do you get those auras?
