Ok. I am totally jealous of your mad bird photography skills. And you are SO right. Florida birds are FAST. At least the land birds. The big water birds - those I can catch. But you actually got a shot of those little pine warblers. The tail-waggers. And they are SUPER fast and REALLY tiny.
i love birds ... and i love your bird images ~ just beautiful! a chance to look up close and study. awesome work in catching them as they light oh, so momentarily ... quick! click! : )
i have three feeding stations and find it difficult to get anything done just watching the birds ... oh, and the one annoyed, annoying squirrel! there is one blue jay that absolutely torments the squirrel and they have this great chase where the jay flies just out of reach as the squirrel leaps and bounds from branch to branch to catch him ... such antics!
the 'pecking' order is the great harry woodpecker (no one attempts zipping in for a snack when he is there), blue jays, downy woodpeckers, chickadees, red poles ... and the very bashful nuthatch ~ my favourite upside down bird ... : )
hmmm ... wanna come and take some pics? ; ) thanks for sharing your beauties! xo pg
My favorite bird lady is back with more birds -- and these are smashing -- especially those close shots! Oh, how lovely to see birds with GREEN behind them!
You did a great job with all of these! And I saw so many of my little favorites. But the robin, well, he just made me smile, cause I miss the robins. As soon as I see one up here, which last year was in February, but this year I am guessing won't be until April, then I know that Spring is coming!
Birds are really tough to capture the way you want them... especially in winter through a window! ... been doing alot of that lately, because it's so darn cold out.
Beautiful shots Beth! That blue one makes me wish I could grow feathers too. Do they realize how good they've got it? Colourful and able to fly...no fair!
**I love reading the comments you leave, as they make me feel like we're sitting in my kitchen, having a cup of tea, discussing life and wondering where all the time has gone ...beth
