when i showed my "polaroid" like photos to my apple instructor
~who is also nuts about photography and is amazingly patient with me~
he said
"oh lord, you are totally degrading your photos"
and
since i'm old enough to be his mother
and
the fact that we have a fantastic relationship
i bonked him on the head with the back of my hand
since i couldn't grab my laptop case fast enough
and
then
in trying to sound hip and cool
said
"whatever"
and
then stuck out my tongue at him
here's the thing. these soft photos make me happy. and if you've ever tried to get your hands on actual polaroid film, that you might find on ebay in the middle of the night, for some ridiculous amount of money. well, who needs that headache.
~
so here's my gift to you
if you don't already know about it
~
~
it's that easy
~
pick your look. upload a photo.
wha-la
"polaroid effecto"
~
otherwise known
~in my world~
as
sweet soft happiness

You know what you like from your photographs, and even better you know how to make it happen,
ReplyDeleteYoung people nowadays, they just don't get the mature approach.........

Thanks for the gift.. but mostly for the gift of your lovely photos. How you present them should be what makes you happy. And as long as you're happy, we are too. Win/win.
ReplyDeleteI am a Rollip-addict and proud of it!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the gift. Sometimes it is just fun to play. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI play "polaroid" in Camera Bag --- and voila!

ReplyDeleteDi
I love the soft look of your photos...I'm gonna try this!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of your photos too. They exude creativity and show your artistic talent.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I've learned about being in the Nevada Camera Club is that if I want to keep winning ribbons, I must not add any effects to my photos unless I enter them in the Creative category. But then again, I don't care as much about winning ribbons as I do about submitting the photos that make me happy.
Oh, and most of our club members are all very old school. The don't appreciate photo art.
I admire that you know what you like and are not swayed by comments...that is the heart of a true artist.
ReplyDeleteI love rollip...so much fun!!! And I just love these photos... Have a great weekend sweetie! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI think that is wonderful Beth, bopping on the head. that is one of the things I like about you so much...is you know what you like, and you are who you are. You just keep doing what you do. I think you should be teaching your own class. That is because I am a huge fan...hugs.

I think the sticking-out-your-tongue part was what really clinched the idea that your work is you and it's beautiful. ~Kathy
