the title of your post makes me think of the movie with Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr of the same name. it was a good movie. love your photo but i don't know if i could paddle something so big around the lake or down a river. at least not without some help. have a great weekend.
OK. Here's the deal. I'll sit. You row. HA! The photo is beautiful, and whenever I see movies that include a shot of people sculling it seems so romantic, somehow. Of course, the movie doesn't show the muscle pain...
Don't boats make the prettiest, most evocative pictures?
Oh my gosh!! No kidding - my word verification was boati. Seriously. Now, of course, I've lost it because I wanted to come tell you about it. Still. Pretty cool. Little things like that make me happy, you know?
**I love reading the comments you leave, as they make me feel like we're sitting in my kitchen, having a cup of tea, discussing life and wondering where all the time has gone ...beth
This reminds me of my camp days - it brings me back. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteI've never tried sculling but it looks like fun...and a lot of work:) I prefer lazing in the sailboat while Mr does all the work:)

ReplyDeletei would like being in a scull if someone else is doing the rowing! *smile*
I can vouch for these after years of rowing back in Milwaukee...it's an insane workout, but at the same time a feeling that can never be replicated.

ReplyDeleteMy youngest was a coxswain for a crew team. He says there's no such thing as a bad day on the water.
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to be in one of these with plenty of strong musclemen doing the rowing.
ReplyDeleteCool shot!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try sculling; I'll join you when you give it a go.
