we were going through old photos this weekend
and
i came across this one of me when i was
well
oh
i don't know exactly
~~
when was the era of wearing headbands and tight white t-shirts with no bra
and
terry cloth shorts
and
thinking you looked really hot while doing so
?
~~
hopefully there wasn't an era
for this look
but
since mondays can be painful
i thought it only fair of me to do my part to make all of you laugh
at least a little
or
maybe a lot
especially if you have a similar looking photo of yourself
tucked away in an old drawer
with hopes of nobody every recovering it
~~
i think maybe this was 1979 or 1980
Ba hahaha! I LOVE this! It made my day!
ReplyDeletelet's get physical, physical, come let me hear your body talk. LOL

ReplyDeleteThat takes me back! All of my photos back then have really BIG hair....
ReplyDeleteokay...exactly why did you sensor that?? inquiring minds would like to know!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't stop grinning! You made me laugh but not really because of the cool ensemble or cool censored strip but because of the cool attitude on your face.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! I am still grinning!! Great shot!! I don't have the white t-shirt shot but I have many no bra ones. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh
Hugs

OMG I love it I remember those days like yesterday! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteoh heck yes, I had those same terry shorts, headband too! Just trying to "get physical" with Olivia!! I still wear tanks, no bra...I must be stuck back in those days! Or really just prefer the comfort of it all.
ReplyDeleteYep, I remember those shorts. wow, what were we thinking?
ReplyDeleteHey way too cool, you tripped me out, ...nothing like aqua terry cloth. love it,
ReplyDeleteLOL! Char! Now I can't get that Olivia Newton John song out of my head!
ReplyDeleteYou rock Beth...now I may find an old photo to post (or not...).
BTW...I posted some pics...see what you started??? I think more of our blog buddies should do the same!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! Oh stop! Hilarious!!
ReplyDeleteI have one so similar to that I am cringing thinking about it... blue terrycloth shorts with yellow trim... and a white tube top on!! Oh no... I may have to go dig it out!
I'm grinning, but really, how I'd kill to be able to toss on that outfit and look as great as you!
ReplyDeleteA little Olivia Newton-John please!!
ReplyDeleteHow cute are you??!!!
funny we never wondered if we looked good or not. we were just sure we did.
ReplyDeleteLove it lol
ReplyDeleteI know you are sporting leg warmers in the part of the picture we don't see- you know you are! Love the picture- I am sure I have something similar somewhere.

ReplyDeleteThis has brought back memories for sure as this is what I wore when I first started working out ever....
ReplyDeletestill giggling as I thought I looked so hot.......not....:-) Hugs
I feel so much better now.
ReplyDeleteBut boy, what a cutie pie! And I laughed out loud at the censored part!
Some of our pictures at that age are so embarrassing. Not fit for the blog. But I think you look flirty and fun in this pic.
ReplyDeleteyou are adorable! old photos make me swoon..

ReplyDeleteMy sister and I posted one of these last year. We are both wearing tube tops! I may go back and censor it! This is fabulous - thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteand you haven't really changed all that much.
i was looking at old photos this weekend too. in fact i came across one of me in shiny satin silver shorty shorts. wow
from 1979 too. haha
ReplyDeletegotta love the 70's and the 80's--you made Olivia proud-quite the hottie-thanks for the giggles and for not making me show my photos;-)
ReplyDeleteI think you and I are about the same age, so yes 1979 sounds right. As soon as you mention your terry cloth shorts.....I smiled. I loved my terry cloth shorts!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you could laugh at yourself. Hey, what about the disco era? I have many memories of disco dancing in Madison!!!!!
nice tan
ReplyDeleteI remember those shirts with the super sized collars and the weird baggy pants that might make me puke if I find the picture.
I think you made a great find.
Love this pic of you!! Makes me want to just break out in a flashdance!
ReplyDeletehey you were and still are a hottie!
ReplyDeletekt
you rock!!
ReplyDelete...looked good back then...I dare not go through old photos...probably find some rope belts as well.
ReplyDeleteLMAO! Wow, its so refreshing that you really do laugh at yourself!
ReplyDeleteI see so many pics of myself wearing GOD knows what!
And I could never post them!
It just goes to show you; what a strong beautiful brillant woman you trully are!
Thanx for the laugh!
Caroline
you are fabulous... love that you shared this...
ReplyDeleteand it makes me think of olivia newton john..
love this!! ♥
Love it!
ReplyDelete...I'm old enough to think that you really DO look cute and hot in that pic...:)
ReplyDeleteYou did make me laugh. Love the look on your face, sheer delight.
ReplyDeleteLook how adorable you are! I ran into some old vacation photos from the same era. I think we shared those shorts!
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely hysterical. Funny thing... I have found that I keep my High School yearbook well hidden these days. With my kids in HS... they are relentless with the teasing as is... we will have to wait a few years, until they have some pictures of their own that are out of style... then they might appreciate.
ReplyDelete:)
Well, no wonder you're so cute now. Just look at you back then?
ReplyDeleteI've always laughed at myself, it helps me get through the hard stuff.
donna
Oh I would have been so jealous of you if I knew you then. Look at how incredibly beautiful and put together you were. ( are ).
ReplyDeleteUhhh just came from the changing page what the heck...You didn't changed a bit. Okay only the hairdo. How come some have it all. You look just the same as you did in the 80. Thanks for taking us there with you. You've got more nurves than me.
