I have a friend who reads people's auras
~
he sees all sorts of colors like green and red and purple
~
he says anyone can do it
~
all it takes is forgetting everything you think you know and just looking
~
I've tried it and even though I haven't seen any colors yet
everyone I meet looks so beautiful when I stop knowing everything
that it's pretty hard to go back to the old way

"everyone I meet looks so beautiful when I stop knowing everything" ...
ReplyDeletearen't story people just fun?! with lots of insight ... that little girl loves color for sure.
She wears her colors so well :O)
ReplyDeleteColor is so vibrant against the backdrop of a winter filled with white.
ReplyDeleteI love color. I fill my home with it.
Great photo!
Stop looking with what you know... I just realized how hard that actually is..
ReplyDeleteas easy as that? right, i'd better start looking then...
ReplyDeleteyou found it for sure in this sweet image! I am colorful today too!!
ReplyDeleteI've seen auras before. The last one was what I characterized as 'glow-y'...a unique tone of yellow gold with orange teeny tiny pixels creating the color gradient where the orange was involved. Almost Monet - ish.
ReplyDeleteIt was beautiful and it was present for 4 days. That's a true story.
I love story people too - so good for the heart and the imagination.
ReplyDeleteI do have a friend who reads auras. He is a fantastic boss and uses people's auras in choosing his teams - ie don't put too much yellow in a room full of purples, or whatever. He doesn't tell many people about this though, as you can imagine.
He told me my aura was a mix of greens and blues - I always wondered if that is why those are my favorite colors - those blues and greens and turquoises...He told me this years ago...I wonder if your aura changes as you get older or as you change ???
May your day be filled with color today, lovely Beth.
Big love to you !
just for the record, i adore your attitude. come here and rub shoulders with me so maybe some of it will rub off.
ReplyDeleteBeth, I bet your aura is off the charts.
ReplyDeletei had never heard/read this before; but within the space of one hour, i have come across it three times in three different blogs. must be the day of colour auras!
ReplyDeleteforgetting everything you think you know and just look...wow!!!
ReplyDeleteI made a decision one day as I spied a homeless person napping on a bench to really look at the beauty of each individual. It is amazing what you see when you suspend judgement and assumptions.
I am thinking you probably have a beautiful halo as your aura!

Wonderful shot! And it's true about reading auras...anyone can do it...it's a matter of opening your heart and mind.
ReplyDeleteThe little girl is one who can get away with horizontal stripes!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know my aura, and I wonder, does it change with our moods, or changes in our personalities as we age?
By the way, I would be interested in having you make up a picture like that, but I would want it as a printed photo instead of a banner.
ReplyDeleteNot just the different colors, but the textures are grabbing me! I want to feel that hat! What a little cutie! Always wished I could see auras. Sometimes I think I wished too hard and that's what blocked me. I try to go with the gut since my eyes failed me.
ReplyDeletebrain andreas is great...love his writing/illustrations/books
ReplyDeletei'll have to give forgetting everything i think i know a whirl.
shouldn't be too hard or take too long. ;/
This little girl wears her "happy" on the outside! Great shot and very thought-provoking blurb. Thanks again Beth!
ReplyDeletebeautiful post and thought!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Beth, I love color in my world. as for auras I try, I think it has to do with goodness and kindness to make a great aura, but I don't know much about it. I looked at the blog header you designed...beautiful, wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteColor is a delight to the eyes. Opening to the possibilities is even better.
ReplyDeletei love this one so much! he is such a poet of real life... with a twist of lemon and a splash of honey.
ReplyDeletei miss you much sweet friend... when will i see you again????
hope you are keeping warm...it's cold here... are you going to FL this year? tuck me in your suitcase????
xoxoxoxoxooxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxo
I've had the pleasure of seeing auras in nature... but not around people.
ReplyDeletebest wishes to you and your family for this magical time of year.
Merry Christmas
x Ribbon :)
I get story people in email everyday... guaranteed smiled on my face! Hmmmm, or color in a very white world :)
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, Oh I wished I could do that too. Even if I'm able to connect with those who left already to the spiritworld I never was able to see aura's.
ReplyDeleteBut you see colors trough your lenses and given us a beautiful tribute to it because I can tell you put your heart into them. Every single time.
Like this one, she's too cute.
Happy friday.
it's a beautiful mixture of colors the little girl is wearing. she looks comfortable too. hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the Story People website.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great lesson...to stop "knowing" and just start really seeing with clarity and truth. I love this.
ReplyDeleteI so love Story People and Brian Andreas. This little one looks like she could step into the drawings!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful thought. I will carry this with me today...thank you, you precious being you. I see the beauty in YOU.
ReplyDeleteAuras are lovely thoughts- although apparently mine has been clogged recently according to a phychic...only me...
