when.....

my love

when the world is cruel and I feel like stones are being thrown at me
he holds me close so I can bury my head in his neck
~~
when I dance around the house to really loud music and sing off key
he watches me with a smile on his face
~~
when I've done the best I can and I still don't think it's good enough
he tells me I'm a superstar
~~
when I want to be lazy on a sunday afternoon
he takes my hand and says me too
~~
when the days are long and I start counting them until he's home again
he counts with me
~~
when my thoughts are all over the place and I can't control them
he gathers them all together and helps me concentrate
~~
when I want to take a walk around the pond and take photos
he carries my camera bag and sees things I don't see
~~
when I miss him more than I ever thought possible
I let him know

  1. Beth, that is wonderful to read. A high school romance that has stood the test of time and indeed, by the sound of it, gone from strength to strength. You are both so lucky. :-)

  8. Beth, this is so wonderful. Your husband is very handsome and the two of you look so good together. I must say that he is lucky to have you as his wife. He is lucky that after all these years, you still have such passion for him. I think that is so cool.

  41. Such a wonderful post for your husband. He sounds like a very special man and is quite handsome, too!! He looks a bit like Pierce Brosnan in that pic. :) A good man can be hard to find but, when you do, there is no greater sense of peace then having that shoulder to lean on. God bless.
