this family rocks
~~
remember the oldest daughter
?
she was one of my senior photo shoots from earlier this year
and
yesterday I had a blast {and a winter coat} capturing the whole family
look at how great these gorgeous girls are
~~
it was 39 degrees outside
~~
yes
you heard me right
39 degrees
and
they are totally hiding the fact that their fingers are numb
and
their bodies are freezing
you know me
~~
I really love outside photography
and
even though I did get some great inside shots of this fabulous family
~which you'll get to see soon enough and include the best dogs ever~
I love the outdoors
best
{and if you're asking why we waited so long to take photos, even though wisconsin is usually fabulous in october, this was the only time the whole family could get together}
and
even though at times I felt so mean making them be outside
wearing just a few layers
while I wore my coat and gloves and warm boots
~yes I'm a wuss~
I think they enjoyed themselves
at least a little bit
*
thank you guys so much
for making this shoot an absolute blast for me

It seems like a wonderful, warm, well-knit family. Good photographs.
ReplyDeleteThat looked like alot of fun. I like where the girl was jumping. That is your trademark, except your usually jumping. Beautiful as always Beth!
ReplyDeleteIt is you Beth, who make the family all at ease and happy, thats why you capture such wonderful photographs! Hope you are doing good!
ReplyDeleteYes, you capture the essence. It's cold here too. Blustery, wet and mitt-coat-hat weather.
ReplyDeleteI love the BW jump shot. I hope the enlarge this and hang it on their wall.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not I've never tried a jump shot. I must try it when the opportunity arises.
Your photos are so beautiful and so is your family!! You are truly blessed. : )

what great photos - love the jumping one!!
ReplyDeleteI love the first shot. It reminds me of "who's on first, what's on second." You really got some amazing photos of the family.
ReplyDeleteGood morning.... lovely photos...there's a little something for you over at Inner Ramblings...
ReplyDeletefantastic shots!! and they were very nice troopers for doing this.
ReplyDelete39 huh? It's in the 40's here today. Thanks so much for pushing your cold down to Western PA. I used to love you...I'm rethinking that position right now...
ReplyDeleteNot really....
It's happy dial-up day and the photos from the two posts below this aren't loading, but I can comment on the wonderful words, which make me think about "looking at myself" too. Beautiful writing as always. I hope your "thoughts" don't get in too much trouble on their excursion! And as for the family in this series (all these came through), they are lovely! Bravo, my friend!
ReplyDeleteBeth, these are wonderful photos. I really like the first one and the last one best, and the one with the girl jumping. They're all gorgeous and they are much better sports than I would be braving the cold. Very well done!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a family that generates a good deal of inner warmth for one other ... and the photos reflect that so well
ReplyDeleteThat is the best jump of all! Beautiful family - congratulations!
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC photos. They look like a very happy family.
ReplyDeleteAnd BURRRRRR to the 39 degrees!
xo
Hey stranger, how have you been? These are fun! I love that jumping one! too cool!
ReplyDeletemy god, I love the one with the girl jumping in the middle!!! And the last one, and ... I could go on. Great photos :)
ReplyDeleteGeez! That was a great jump. And, oh, Mom must be completely in love with that last photo. She's totally gorgeous and her daughters - so in love with their sweet Mommy.
ReplyDeleteHey now... how do you think you would get your creative juices flowing and capture such wonderfulness if YOU were cold? Of course you have to wear your coat and gloves etc.!
ReplyDeleteI so get you though. I love outdoor shoots as well...I rarely do anything inside but I hate being always at the mercy of the weather!
You guys did so well!
xoxo
