the days are getting shorter...

fading days

and
I'm spending them with a bit of a frown
both on my face and in my heart
~~
our summer has been perfect
not close to perfect
but
perfect
~~
perfect
warm breezes and ochre sunsets and bubbly clouds
perfect
butterflies and belly laughs and spinach salads
perfect
cicada hums and handholding walks and make me dance ipod music
perfect
late morning canoodling and tank tops
perfect
cuffed blue jean capris and raspberry gelato
~~
I'm sitting here editing a few photos
and
seeing this photo made me smile
really smile
the kind of smile where you wonder if anyone is looking at you and wondering what you're smiling about
~~
I have so many photos of little miss precious to share with you
but
this was the one that captured my
"little bit of a frown"
heart
today
and
I just knew I had to share it with all of you
so that you could smile
too

  2. I love how you did the muted colors you did with this so the balloon jumps out. She's adorable; so are you.

  5. Hi Beth I am visiting from Soul Apeture, via another Aussie who posted there, well that's how we get around here isn't it and I found your Lens.Us.Together blog. How can I be a part of the posting, what are the criteria if any for posting and how longw will the abandoned theme last??? Yeah I know too many questions. Sorry just really love this blog and am learning to photograph so its great for me.

I am going to miss summer too, but luckily I picked a climate where we should have a couple more months of heat.

  15. if that isn't a greeting card picture, a calendar picture, a poster, I don't know what is ... and enough chatter about how you 'need practice with the wee ones', 'k? this is BOMB!

I can't help you with the season changes, Baby ... and as we talk about every year, everything you HATE is everything I LOVE to see coming at me! finally, some relief from this god forsaken relentless heat! YEA AUTUMN!!!!

  17. This photo made me smile as soon as it popped up on the screen. I wouldn't say our weather has been perfect -- exactly, but sometimes. But the rest of it? It's as good as it gets!
