because nice matters...

she doesn't know that I love getting surprise packages in the mail
she doesn't know that my birthday is this week and that I'll actually be looking for the mailman
to arrive with goodies for me
because I'm like a kid that way
she doesn't know that the rocks she sent me would make me smile
that kind of smile you only smile when nobody is looking
~
while
my mind was immediately coming up with all the places I plan on leaving them
but
what she does know
is how to be nice
~
and
really
with all that is going on in our wild world and in our crazy private lives
isn't that really the best thing we can do
~
the best thing we can be
?
because
always and always
nice matters
~
don't you agree
?
{kim...you are an angel in this world}

  4. Referring to your previous post - this space ISN'T yours - you put it all out there for anyone - ANYONE - to read. You didn't want to give any time and attention to the 'snake' but WOW - you did just that. Reams, acres of it.

Oh my goodness...Are you freaking kidding me??? Whoever you are, you simply must go away and find your own small corner of the world. You are not wanted here.

The Mission is accomplished perhaps in your mind, but not in ours. We don't even know who you are...and your past two comments make it so we don't want to know you.

    Please, just go away.

  8. Hmmm, if you knew what direction to throw some rocks (not Kim's creation, but some with your own "twist") ... whatever ... enough wasted energy.

That's the best part of being a friend is to find creative ways to spring surprises on those you know and love.

  9. To Anonymous: Shut up already! If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all! If your dander is up, go spread it somewhere else!
To you: Nice is best, always!

  12. What wonderful presents....as to anony...I will pray for you as your bitterness precedes anything else about you. I will also say Shame on you...You have no idea who Beth is, or that she is kind, caring, loving and all good things in the world. If you do not like her blog get off it.

  14. Soooo glad you like your little prezzie ! I love that the Universe encouraged me to send it to you now, when I didn't know about all the other things lining up ! You have been an angel to me too ! Much love !

  16. i love snail mail. i love sooprises. awesome.

Snake? Mission accomplished? Your idea of interaction? Some sort of sick mental masturbation process? hope it was good for you - bet you're coming back every other minute to see what others are saying in reaction to you, getting off on it, right?

Hmmm, yes blogs are out there for anyone to READ, but toxic uninformed comments? that's on YOU. Own it. And go away.

  17. Oh, how wonderful. Of course you are planning to give them away to strangers. Do keep one of those yummy blue-green ones for yourself, won't you?

Nice does matter. I have a pillow on sofa in my classroom reading corner that says just that, "Nice matters."

  18. I just might need that phrase hanging in my classroom this year... Nice Matters! I like that!

Have fun sharing your rocks.... It would be fun to wait around and see who finds them.
