with all your might......

sometimes
no matter how awful things seem to be
and
no matter how dark the light is
you have to hold on
~~
sometimes
your grip might need to be tighter
and
you might have to reach deep inside for strength you didn't even know you had
but
you have to hold on
~~
and
sometimes
holding on is the hardest thing you'll ever have to do

  4. Hugs to you. How's your shoulder pain? I'm hoping this refers to that because as physically painful as it is and how hard it seems to get on, there is that end of the tunnel.

If it's not, well, hold on -- no matter how hard -- and know that people who care about you are by your side, sending you strength and energy to help you with the holding.

  6. Hi Beth,

Isn't it strange that many of our bloggy friends imagine that the words we use are a personal reference? I know, I do!

Every time I read my friend Tom's poetry at Summit Manor, I imagine he's talking about himself, his personal experiences. But I know that's often not the case.

Your words are very powerful but I hope you don't need to follow them right now!

  8. Oh, Beth. Hold on. Just hold on and know that we love you and are on your side.

For some reason, I think of an old poster my high school teacher had hanging in her classroom. It was a picture of snoopy hanging on to the end of a rope. It said, when you've reached the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.

  12. this enters my brain at a time when holding onto my youngest male child's sanity FOR HIM, now that he's 18 and quite Big for his Britches ... well, good reminder, I gotta be firm, be MOM, doesn't matter that he's legal or a man or yadda yadda when it's time for my size 9 up his keister, I'm going to deliver. [now if you'll excuse me, I have a size 9 to deliver, a little past due.]

    Love you, Baby.

  13. You reach down into that reservoir of strength that we women have, and you put one foot on the floor in front of the other, even when, and especially when, you have no idea where it will lead to next.

This wisdom rings so true, Beth. Everyone needs to remember it from time to time...

    Big hug to you!!
